I'd say a fair number can and do make hits that big. But just like in rugby, this sort of thing does not happen often. 99% of rugby hits are just straightforward tackles - nothing to "ooh" and "ahh" about. Same goes for American Football.I'd recommend watching "Rugby vs Gridiron vol. 1" or something else that shows magnificent hits in both sports instead of bitching about which is better.

im an American that has played both Football and Rugby. i can guarantee you that MOST of them cannot take that big of hit. hell, most of them in football bitch when they get hit in pads...

i used to hate chabal because he belted masoe but i love the guy now, great tackle and should not of got a yellow card, the referies get it wrong alot of the time, like with jerry collins too
