"Hi, Doll." Allen Ludden was the epitome of cool when it came to Goodson-Todman game shows of the 60's!

Speaking of things you don't see anymore--Lux Liquid hasn't been on the market in years! And just try to sell today's homemaker on a detergent made "for the woman who does dishes without help!"BTW, Elizabeth Montgomery and William Asher began filming the pilot episode of "Bewitched" on November 22, 1963...the day President Kennedy was assassinated...

Johnny Cool starred Ocean Eleven's Henry Silva and Bewitched's Elizabeth Montgomery and was directed by Montgomery's husband William Asher. Fellow Rat Packer's Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop had small roles.

Lever Brothers {Lux, etc.} originally sponsored this edition of "PASSWORD" when it was on Monday nights at 10pm(et)- it was the sponsor's replacement after "THE NEW LORETTA YOUNG SHOW" ended that March. In September, the show moved to Thursdays at 7:30pm(et). Carol Burnett's musical 'spectacular', "Calamity Jane" [with co-star Art Lund as "Wild Bill Hickok"], and produced by husband Joe Hamilton (who later produced her legendary variety series), aired on CBS on November 12, 1963.

You know what? In August of 1963 John F. Kennedy was still living until the time of his assasination. As handsome and dashing as he was, I couldn't stand for all that controversy he was in with the Kennedy's and Sinatra. It really destroyed him.

For the woman who does dishes WITHOUT help. The true measure of a woman apparently lol.

Peter Lawford was a pleasant inoffensive actor, but he got in over his head with the Kennedy's and Sinatra and falling out with both, he was abandoned by the Kennedy's and, thanks to Sinatra's vindictivness, his career was virtually destroyed. He died penniless and lived his last few years in a tiny apartment. A sorry end for a good actor and one of lifes nice guys. Thanks for posting this video brought back some good memories.
