I think Pewte Ham and Joey Mulland(sp?) combined to play alot of the guitar parts of this tune. Just from listening to Geroge's very distinctive and HIGHLY underrated slide playing over the years, the slide part on this one surely sounds like him.

John Lennon's solo career sucked, Paul has been successful as a pop artist, but isn't taken seriously, George Martin had to admit he was a doofus and now his son is busy bollocksing up the Beatles music. George Just blew past all of them and stayed true to his music. His carrer was the most successful of them all.

That's right, but I forget which one, John or Paul. In Let it Be, you can see how bad George and Paul bickered. McCartney was a major pain in the ass. I've read other accounts that blame Lennon for the headache. The cheaper than a dime line fits Paul to a T. Who played the slide solo after the bridge? Clapton, George or Dave Mason? I used to think Clapton, but it could have been either of them. George complained how many musicians respected him more than his own group. Love this in STEREO. |
