No, you're misconstruing what he says. He was saying this is the message America put forward.Vtech shooter probably saw the Columbine incident and realized the news that it generated. They got exactly what they wanted. So he did the same thing.That is exactly his point there.As for the US caring, he, like myself (and no he doesnt have to apologize because hes probly right) doubt the sincerity people have.

hmm areound 7 you start talking about how they were not actually getting rewarded, when perhaps in your sense of the word they where not. But to the killers and any other kids who have attention problems and such, they were rewarded, everyone in the world heard about it, and they got the reward they wanted.
