Posting from st-maarten[dot]com"...The Sunset Beach Bar is world famous for its amazing view of landing planes, while enjoying a cool beer or tropical cocktail. Even more fascinating is watching the huge jets taking off. There are even some brave souls who dare to stand in the jet blast and to be pushed from the beach into the ocean."St.Maarten is a caribbean island...and its airport is so...so close the beach.Ok when airplanes landing in...but when they take off...!!! ;-)

The 777 would cause quite a stir. The A340-600 engines deliver 56,000 lbs of thrust. The 777 only has two engines but each deliver 90,000 lbs, so probably a much more concentrated wind.
