What a pity Fats Waller didn't live to see her - can you imagine them playing together? They would probably have been laughing so much they would have fallen off the stool! And she was a highly accomplished classical concert pianist, with several records made.

Winnie always had a smile when she played the joanna on tv

I've often thought the same when listening; it doesn't seem possible, like in the [supposedly] 'five finger boogie'. Absolute magic to watch.

I am arguably Winnie's biggest fan and having only just discovered YouTube was gobsmacked to see she still had such a big following. Many moons ago I played her 17th Century Boogie for my school music exam - it would be great to see a video of Winnie playing it - is it out there somewhere I wonder?

If one could not see her play it would be easy to think there were 2 people playing at the same time, think she had 10 fingers on each hand. SUPERB
