If you want to do the push-pull, don't do it like this video shows. You want that left thumb to be relaxed, not all pointing out to the side like demonstrated. Also, you want to push with the initial stroke and keep those fingers loose and a bit open to allow the first push rebound all the way back to "catch" for the pull. Be careful with these techniques. Bad habits are not an option!

um.. I can do this speed normal grip without having to fanny about learning trad grip. He wasn't even playing that fast. I was hoping to find a new way of playing fast blasts on the snare one handed without gravity rolling (which is frankly lame w/o triggers). oh well.. |
