I've never heard of that history.Can I ask where you learned about that? I've always learned that Maori were the first inhabitants of the land.

The irony is that the Maori conquered New Zealand a few centuries ago and conducted a genocide on its original inhabitants (who most likely looked more like Australian and Tasmanian Aboriginals)
