That is 100% correct, i work at a couple of dutch ww2 museums. (atlantikwall museum, Overloon tank museum & museum '40-'45 Arnhem)Germany was the only nation that wanted every man in the army to have a side arm/handgun.And today everyone has... germany invented modern warfare!First balastic missile, first treu submarine, modern tank units, first jet fighter, basis of the modern pistol (Walther p38) and the first assault rifle (STG'44) and also they invented paratroopers!
