The version of September Song you wanna hear was recorded for "Lost in the Stars" a compilation of Kurt Weill songs. It is a really remarkable album.

It would be just an okay cover, but at 2:45 the intensity of the band and the music and everything clicks perfectly, it made the song quite good for me.

I didn't like this one by Lou....a great song but sounds like a micky take of someone doing a version of how Lou Reed would do it. butchered. sorry Lou.Better luck next time. lol.

as i watched, i became irritated with the liberties reed had taken with one of my favorite songs. but the dread he works up in the chorus won me over. a classic reinterpretation i think.
