I agree - if any contemporary soprano can come close it's her!

Wonderful performance. I can almost bring myself to say that Callas has a rival.

she can speak/sing: ROmanian,ITalian, FRench, Spanish, GReek, RUssian and some cockNEY english from Liverpool in the British Belfast empire on Hamsptead Heath/Brixton? I'm envious of her hubby,he is the luckiest man on earth:getZ 2 sing/dance/drink wit her, kiZZ her, etc? I hate ITalian men/RockerZ from ROmania. Why do they always get/conquer the nice ladieZ? R they ROman fighterZ,Real men wit gunZ or sumthing? They seem 2 know how 2 fight a lady,2 fight 4 her flowerZ/honour,give her one...FLOwer

Read George Bernard Shaw's comments, when he was a music critic, about the equally famous Adelina PATTI , in London in the late nineteenth century [around 1890]. She was due to leave for a tour abroad but kept returning to sing another aria and he wrote "Out tripped the Diva" . Together with "Queen of Song" it is the conventional term for a great woman singer.
