This generation was just incredible! The dancing, phenominal! Michael Jackson is viewed as the greatest performer, but he could not hold a torch to these guys. I read that Booker T Washington would walk 13 miles in worn shoes to school. He and so many from the were determined to excell. The Tuskegee Airmen, George Washington Carver and others from this era were excellent. Whats this generation's contibution naked girls in rap videos, Shootings and inadequately educated youth?

It seems like there are so many young people who like this stuff, but where are they? How come I never meet them?? I would think I was the only young person to like this era if I never came on youtube.

Why does race always play such a huge part in the comments people make on these videos, are you all that ignorant you need to spout your hateful rhetoric instead of just enjoying the music and video?Your kind (racists) has no place in this world, you had better learn to work together or you're going to die. It's that simple.

who is this spouting such sewage and ignorance from its mouth? if ANYTHING hip hop is the ONLY style requires much more skill and talent than any ballet style or square dance that YOUR kind has EVER made... As Truly said, Jazz WAS the hip hop of its day and white people STILL found a way to NOT like it and proclaimed it as "evil voodoo". Jazz, just like Hip Hop and everything else "black", was never considered "classy" until white people started trying to do it... I swear-- white people, man

I love @ 2:18 when the brother on the right swings his leg over the head of the saxophonist. Too smooth!

They were self taught street dancers lol, so they probably would have been on So You Think You Can Dance. Jazz is one of those things that's only "classy" in retrospect. It was something that only blacks did but eventually became mainstream and inspired other genres. Although it's WAAAAAY better and infinitely more sophisticated, it was the hip hop of it's time in a lot of ways.
