Well I dont mean to nitpick but actually they dont have the same name.The Gene Wilder film was called "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" while the new one took its title from the actual book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

Its kinda hard not to compare the two movies seeing as they have the same name and are based on the same book. So yah i am saying it sucks cuz its not as gud as the first. The first was so magical, and the second looked like a lame imitation.

I dont think the new one is shit. Its just different. I dont like to compare the two movies. THe new one is not a remake, its an original adaptation of a book which already had an adaptation.So they are two unique takes on the same book. They were never meant to be compared to each other.
