I Hate covers, but this one isnt really a cover its radiohead playing a joy division/new order track almost as an original. Fair play to them

superb

it is a difficult song to play, and stephen morris is a genius drummer. hardly recognized as the genius he is outside of music circles (sumner and curtis, though deserving, get all the credit. we can't forget about the amazing rhythm section). also, phil selway is none too shabby himself.

..Still's version is the first recorder version of the song.

Yes but it was played live by Joy Division first (Album: Still) so it's a Joy Division song later rearranged by New Order..

well... it's not. It was released in 1981 when New Order was formed , after Ian's death. This was their first official release as New Order although it was written while the band were still Joy Division(curtis lyrics) we can't say it is Joy Division song.

The overwhelming majority of Brit-pop/Alt. music fans would disagree with you goojman--not even close.

it's joy division cover, not new order

Man, the drummer looks like he's hanging on for dear life. It's not that difficult a song to play is it? Or is Stephen Morris a genius drummer? |
