Besides, I wonder which bulletin did RTQ carry prior to 1990? If it was National Nine News, it would also explain the "Paige at 6:30" V/O.

I'm curious why you think Capital TEN had anything to do with this. This was a locally produced RTQ Promo flagging "Newswatch" (Local RTQ News) and the new "Ten Evening News" (TVQ 10 Brisbane). The V/O clearly says "Ten Evening News" .. but someone has typed Ten National News in the Graphic at RTQ.An RTQ fault I would say but understandable maybe given the years and years of "National Nine News" and then "Seven National News".And the promo wasn't checked before it was aired.

Moral of this video. Don't send 10 Capital's openers (which used a Canberra VO saying "TEN National News") to prospective affiliates...

10:30 is still too early for that piece of crap. I was thinking something along the lines of not on at all.

Good signal for 140+ km away from the TX there in 'red ted's' town Theodore. Did all towns receive same signal as that?Who owned RTQ at that point?Late movie kept the station on quite late.

"entertaining the best people under the sun" has to be one of the all-time great suckjob slogans.

No doubt at the time.. RTQ was beginning to divest itself of the Nine Network association as it was becoming a TEN affiliate in the lead up to aggregation in 1991.As you can see 3 out of the 5 highlights are 10 network programmes. But all this changed of course in December when it did a backflip and became WIN and was on board with 9 once again.
