...part 2 (look below for part1)...this trailer is the first to use a slightly altered version of Dan Nielsen's "Requiem For A tower". This version is also called "requiem for a tower" but it's actually done by "Corner Stone Cues". The corner stone version is a more "layered" version (you can hear the difference at for example 1.09 to 1.13). The Corner stone version consist of 3 movements of which 2 are used for this trailer. You can buy The album "Requiem For A Tower" by corner stone cues.

Here's a complete description of this very well known piece of trailer music.The cue is based upon "Lux Aeterna" from the Requiem For A Dream soundtrack by Clint Mansell. This track was redone in a more orchestrated version by Dan Nielsen for the "Lord Of The Rings: Two Towers" trailer from 2002. A that time the track was known as "Requiem for a tower". Due to its popularity the cue was used for various trailers....
