slade started out as a suedehead band in 69,they looked cool in ben shermans ,doc martins etc! they recorded a song called moonstomping!

Slade and The Jam both went straight in at No.1 three times each. Both were on Polydor label (in the UK at least)too. This was a double A side with 'Dreams of Children'. When they did 'Malice' with 'Precious' on TOTP it was first time since the Beatles that a group played both sides of a No.1 on the same show. |
