i remember the music press in 1979 constantly going on about richie blackmore being very awkward and precious . apparently ,he was a prima donna as well as a superb musician. a bit of a tit by all accounts.

Up to a few years ago when it finally died on me, I had in possesion an old cassette redording of the top 40 that used to be played by radio 1 every sunday afternoon. In the top 10 where 2 songs, one by Status Quo, What ever you want, and this one. The DJ that afternoon was TB, Tony Blackburn and I can remembering him saying something like, 'prepare to be woken up if you are asleep'!...25 yrs on and both songs are sill as good as ever..
