What would Socrates say?Truth must be concluded, never told. When Truth is told it becomes a cult or a religion, for the value of a conclusion lies not in itself, but in the elements and in the process of its constitution. Thus any faith and believe are nothing but a state of denial of acquired existential certainties should any conclusion imply metaphysical levels beyond coherence to human logic and reason, for we are humans and not God or god to perceive otherwise, or are we not?

bravo! the priest? science is a religion; all things we grasp to are beliefs. I remember when I took a zoology class in college and the professor stated, the very first day, that this class was based on evolution. So here I was thinking: what if another theory came along that disproved evolution (and i don't mean in the creationist sense)then what would be the use of all this senseless knowledge. Perhaps the sophists had it all along, but we followed Plato's belief in the ultimate truth. sigh

Kinda sorta have to agree. The moment the guy starts to say, "how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go-" what the heck does that mean? I can't see it. If I can't see it, I have to start making stuff up to believe the guy- because he has become the new "priest".

Had this movie simply been about the Marlee Matlin character--a deaf photographer struggling to cope with her adulterous ex-husband--I would have liked it.But the hokey pseudo-science ruins it. The talking heads just spout nonsense about "paradigms" and "infinite possibilities" and make meaningless statements like "How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go." None of the disparate soundbytes are ever united into a cohesive conclusion. It's smoke and mirrors and snake oil.
