You do not need to move the stick much to do a turn, just like the steering wheel on a car, unless you are making a very sharp turn, which you do not want to ordinarily do in a helicopter unless you are being a hotshot. The slightest movement off center can start a turn. When you drive the interstate you turn all along the way, but the steering wheel never moves many degrees at all from top dead center. And this is no green screen, I've done green screens.

It's not hard to make an airplane, however, it's hard to make an airplane that you're not going to get killed in. I know, I've ridden in planes that feel like you're riding in a tin can. And then, the pilot says to me, "Hmm, I probably should have checked that belt that I glued together last week."

I think it's real, notice he does use control inputs on turns, very slight though. Same as in a helicopter (use slight constant adjustments) even in an airplane you do not use heavy control inputs generally. I believe this is more of a gyrocopter though with the pusher prop and limited structure that could support a wing. I bet behind him would be a shaft for an unpowered rotorwing!
