i liked horowitz better because it looked like he had and played with feeling the whole time. zimmerman is so over the top hokey with his body movement that it takes away from the performance. horowitz was more intense at times which made the sweet moments even better.

please can somebody tellme in a OBJETIVE way, what interpetation is more correct, more close of the indications of the piece ( if there is). cause i think every section o every piece must be played in a way stated by the composer, like beethovens moonlight sonata isnt it? =S

It's always about perspective. When you've reached master level, there really is no line of definition.Then there are the occasional times when the gap in skill and technique is way too obvious.

I know you mean these are top notch pianists, and that they are way too far from average interpretations, and I agree; but saying you can't compare them is the same as saying there's no good nor bad interpretation in any possible way. In the end, you're saying these are not excellent pianists, but we all are, the same as them. That's clearly absurd.
