this bird looks horrible and he keeps asking if he can go back. that shows that he doesnt really want to be answering these questions. i think its sad...

this bird is an african grey i know i have one it needs 4 to 5 hours out of the cage a day and must be talked with for 30 min at the least that could be why hes feathers are messing from being bored

To put an end to the "know it alls" = What you seem to be forgetting is that alex was an old bird when he died - He lived to be 31 years old and thats in a "working" enviroment. African greys have the intellect of roughly a 4 yr old child - whatever they did together, to him wasnt work. it was his family playing games and amusing him. Unclesol is completely correct too though. some birds just pluck from habit rather than illness/being bored, Most likely is age in this case!

Some birds pluck for no known reason. Often, if a bird plucks, it is bored, anxious, has a deficiency in its diet, etc., but there are some who just develop the habit despite having plenty of toys, attention, etc.. My mom had one like that; she gave her a great cage, tons of toys, lots of love, etc., and the bird still plucked her legs nearly naked.

He is sad, that´s why some of his fethers is gone. ´Fjäder plockning'. I don´t know how to translate in english..

thats cruel, the poor birds so anxious, his pulled all his feathers out, he just wants to be a normal bird, "can i go back" he doesnt want any of it.

poor Alex. He died because he didnt wanna be famouse anymore. You can hear him keep on saying, "Wanna go back". "Wanna go back". If u look down in the files, it shows, Alex the smarte parrot passes away. CLICK THAT AND IT SHOWS
