I do agree, I shouldn't be as pessimistic. First order of business, vote and vote third party. Second order, try to open up the debates and work to get rid of the electoral college, and possibly gerrymandering.

The public, even if it had all the right info is dumb. The public in Washington's time was prob. dumber. The difference is our leaders now take advantage of the stupidity and actively harm the republic.

This man is brilliant. And he has a wide perspective like Chomsky. I like him better. Chomsky is insightful but loses the big perspective and goes on forever about E. Timor and S. America and American crimes.Johnson ties it all together and shows how imperialism affects US politics and economics.

In the case of the U.S.S.R. he forgot to mention : The immense powers of the premier. It's all well and good when you have someone who knows what their doing (This was the case of Stalin, economically speaking). But later Brezhnev had the power to reform... Badly reform that is. And Mikhail Gorbachev didn't realize the instability instant market reform would bring. Yet he had the power to bring it forth...

I used to live in New York City and the arrogance of the American was shocking. Unbelievable. Lincoln was a prophet. America is being destroyed by a domestic enemy and this domestic enemy has the support of at least 70 percent of Americans.

"not in a thousand years will the USA be defeated in war if that is to be our lot then it will be at the hands of enemies from within"A LincolnKorea USA lost it's prestige in the worldVietnam USA lost the Gold standard on currencyIraq USA will lose the constitution to the NAU10 year wars poorly planned with no exit strategy are Mistakes that Americans can not fathom for they look through the eyes of arrogance.their demise comes at the hands of themselves.

Ignorance is bliss, but arrogance is even more so.
