I don't know what impresses me most; Skip's face or his music; perhaps the combination. here is one of the greatest musicians humankind produced in the last century. His genius had become irregular in the last years of his life, yes, but when if flamed up. like in this song, the true human condition of all us was shownin a true unforgettable form.

READ ME AND THE DEVIL: SKIP JAMES AND THE BLUES- perhaps the best book written on the blues ever!

This clip (along with the Crow Jane clip and a couple of clips with Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry) was recorded for danish television in Copenhagen in 1967.
