Timmy created most of his problems himself, but it didn't help that as his production team and managers he had arguably the most dishonest and corrupt people in the music industry. Huge amounts were stolen from him and his estate. He was an easy victim due to his addiction. Read HITMEN by Frederick Dannen.

Anybody can record anybody else's song; they just have to pay royalties, and any song writer is more than happy to have other people record their songs. It's a huge compliment. Stewart always credits Hardin. He's not that stupid.
