No, I'm actually fine with it. I just made the observation that now a days we don't say "made by the Mormons." Cause we don't really use that nick name. Probably because more people know that our church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so they don't need to let people who aren't LDS know who we are. They just automatically connect the church's name to "Oh those are the Mormons." They don't need to say it anymore. But I wouldn't care if they did.

But we are still proud to tell people that we are Mormon, but that is not the first name that we will call ourselves because, like I said. We are Latter Day Saints first. Mormon is just a nickname. So what info did I not disclose? :)P.S. read from bottom up cause it was too long to post.

because of the name of The Book of Mormon... but if you have ever read it, you'll see Mormon is actually an extremely small part of the book, and an even smaller influence in our religion. Sure he was a good guy, but no more important than any other prophet. Moroni, who was the last Nephite to hold the book before burying it, named it after his father. But that is a very tiny part and does not define our religion.

We know we are called Mormons, but that is not the name of our church. Our church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And we call ourselves Latter Day Saints of LDS, but we do recognize that others call us Mormons.

So you do admit that within Mormon circles Mormons are known as Mormons, yet they tweak it in advertisements? Hmmm...wonder why they would do that!

We still distinguish ourselves, but we ARE Christians. We believe in all the same things. Only we believe in the Book of Mormon and modern day revelations. Those are really the only differences.

Mormons didn't try to distance themselves from Mormonism until they realized it was a political necessity. Once upon a time they were not afraid to distinguish themselves from Christians.

Are you sure it's an LDS commercial? We rarely refer to ourselves as Mormons in advertisements.
