The whole drug deal gone bad scene from the 1997 movie Boogie Nights.Scene Backdrop: At this point in the film, Dirk, Reed and Todd are total strung out coke addicts looking to get the next 'score'. Todd(Thomas Jane) devises a plan to trick a local drug lord(Alfred Molina) into buying bogus coke to get money they desperately need to feed their addiction. Dirk and Reed go along with the plan and what ensues is, in my opinion, one of the most well crafted scenes in movie history.*Since I keep getting comments on what the songs are in this scene, I'll just list them here:1. I loved it.Reminded me of the 'Old Days' (early 80's)I was in several scenarios like that minus the firecrackers & guns. Everything else may has well been a documentary!When I 1st saw it in the movie theatres I broke out in a nervous sweat, my heart was racing and I had to take a shit looking at all that Coke! Those were the daze.Good Thing I grew outta it. (:

Alfred Molina was fuckin' fantastic in this film, even if he was just in the drug deal scene. I love the way he pretends to play piano hust as the song is starting.

As far as drug insanity this is mild. The crazy dude dealer in Cheech and Chong is more accurate.

I have lived this scence accept for cosmo -- this is one of the greatest scenes in film history. Its great to know that there are people this insane. Albert Molina reminds me of Keith Hernandez from the Mets.

there's three moments on film that are on my short list for greatest scenes in cinema:1. goodfella's "what me funny?" scene2. cool hand luke's boxing sceneand this fucking scene...it's so fucking sick, you have imagine that either Paul Thomas Anderson and Mark Whalberg have been actually been in or similar type of situations...so effing realistic and sick! This scene is hilarious. First time i saw it it had me in tears. Watching Reeds shit himself everytime Cosmo sets off a banger. So funny.
