Screw Off!!! GO WGA!!!!I understand that the Golden Globes have been techinally cancelled. I LOVE the GGlobes and the Oscars, but I SUPPORT THE WGA right now. I just hope that this thing will be resolved either before the Oscars or before Awards season '09

Imagine the writers owning the conglomerates. The RICO trial is a speedy one, it is settled within a month after a complaint by the DA is filled. Can they afford to loose their cars, their homes, their vacation homes n all their businesses???

and then the D.A will follow the letter of the law Title 18 Section 3730(5)(d) which says "If the Government proceeds with an action brought by a person under subsection(b), such person shall receive at least 15% but not more than 25% of the proceeds of the action or settlement of the claim, depending upon the extent to which that person substantially contributed to the prosecution of the action"

" these idiots are playing this so poorly, that the studios are going to be able to snap that union like a twig" Unless all the writers gang up on them, gather their evidence and sue the studios and the networks for violation of Title 18 s.1962(a), (b), (c) and (d). They don't need a lawyer, the writers will just report the bastards to the D.A or assistant D.A in their area, with evidence of the major rip off

The studios stand to lose more. Hollywood does not have to be the entertainment capital any longer. With the advent of the internet, content can be distributed to the masses with the click of a mouse. Talent is not a worthless commodity. Writers write because they CAN. Ever tried to? |
