Filling in for Art Bell, Ian Punnett welcomed one of the leading voices in today's counterculture, Daniel Pinchbeck, who discussed ideas from his latest book, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl as well as his personal experiences with psychedelic "medicines." Daniel Pinchbeck is the author of "Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism" and is a regular columnist for Arthur Magazine. He is currently completing a second book, "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl," on indigenous prophecies and consciousness transformation, to be released next spring. His feature articles have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, Wired, The Village Voice, and numerous other publications. A founding editor of Open City, a literary journal, he is currently launching a new magazine and Internet forum, Metacine: A Magazine for the New Edge (www.metacine.net), offering a new paradigm for a planetary culture.May 13th, 2006 http://www.breakingopenthehead... http://www.coasttocoastam.com/...

Are you looking to make it yourself or take it under in a proper shamanic ceremony? I have taken aya twice, one time alone and another time with a close friend. Although it gave me insights and visions the brew wasn't very good quality. I would suggest taking it under the guidance of a Ayahuascero, I intend to at some point. Peace.

it seems like ian punnet butchers every interview. He should just be quiet and let the guest speak.

If you prepare them, dry them even make tea class a. Im pretty sure you can 'graze' like picking them and eating them. THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE.

Very true but I would also add, prayer can be a technique too, if practiced correctly in accordance with certain principles, as opposed to conventional dogma & unnecessary rituals/superstitions.
