I guess that's a great compliment then! Your explaination confirmed my guess, but I wasn't sure whether or not your smiley was implying just that. Though I didn't witness the 60's, the "classic BoC-times", their music can get me into quite melancholy moods at times, there's a warm feeling of looking back but also a bit of a regret that the times and things it reminds me of have elapsed sort of. That is especially the case with the A Few Old Tunes tapes for me.

It's a very esoteric joke on my part involving a chronically depressed person who had the most awesome sense of humor outside of Stanley Kubrick, Vladimir Nabokov and Monty Python.That said, listening to BoC does make me feel very nostalgic and melancholy. The juxtaposition of the rainbow against this song seems somehow appropriate. To pluck a phrase I would call it "achingly beautiful."
