I was ll yrs old when the Beatles came to America. I lived the magic! I cried when I saw them and wanted to run to england to marry Paul. Beatlemania ruled and it was like nothing before it. they changed our world. the best days everPLS go to my favorites and click on ALL MY LOVING. these are 2 fellow beatlemaniacs I grew up with singing a tribute to our favorite guys. THE BEATLES MUSICAL MAGIC AND GENIUS WILL LAST FOREVER

It isn't in America. Just because a few American dolts on Youtube called the Beatles awesome doesn't mean we use it for exclusively everything.Saying that is ignorant and asinine.

I really think The Beatles were far beyond awsome. I'll have to try to find a word that describes their level of greatness. I'm not even sure magnificent describes them well enough. I'm a huge fan of The Beatles and their music.

Sorry Professor truth if i annoyed you but i was not questioning the modern meaning of the word but just asking why it is used almost exclusively for almost everything.I didn,t mentioned the Beatles in my comment.

What, are you an offended etymology expert? The meaning and connotation of words change over time. Deal. And even if we are keeping with hallowed antiquity here, I would STILL call the Beatles 'awesome.' That's no exaggeration.
