Pianist is the awesome Mike Garson. He's a long time rock, standards and avante-garde jazz pianist. He worked on some early Bowie-- Aladdin Sane and Pinups, and a ton of other midlife albums too. His "crazy piano" interludes on some of those tracks are just insanely brilliant. If u look up some of his more standard stuff, he is still brilliant but a lot more conservative in style.

funny, maybe I have too high standards, simply loving the original tracks on LOW. But I find her bass playing a little bit lacking, and I don't like that David sings all/mostly the upper octave of all the verses. The fabulous low octave singing of the original is just so cool sounding, and mysterious at times to me.
