Asalaam a laikum=)I myself am from Afghanistan and it is very hard differentiating my religion from my culture. That is why I have decided not to practice my culture at all, just Islam. Afghan culture(in my personal point of view) has added more things to Islam, which should not be there AT ALL. Islam is a COMPLETE religion. Nothing should be added nor subtracted. They've added AND subtracted many things which makes it very hard.My fellow Afghans, plz dnt get offended.WASALAAMur SIS-aisha

Oh and one last thing, arabs use both their culture and their religion at the same time, so you tend to mix up i guess, and Islam wasnt sent to arabs only, its for all mankind! so for example there are more than 28 million muslims in china you never call them terrorists, do u?So exactly instead of looking at the arabs look at persians, chinese, people in other countries... They got the religion.

Well being in cultural decline is not the same as being the opposite of culture.The dietry, sexual, social, family, rules of warfare of Islam are all cultural. They are just Arabia's rules with Jewish, Christian and some of Mohammed's ideas thrown in. Notably Islam doesn't include any Australian, Native American or Chinese cultural ideas - because Mohammed didn't know about those. |
