Listen to the things Jack DeJohnette did with Miles Davis. "Live Evil" is my favorite recording with Miles and DeJohnette, where also Jarrett are playing the electric piano. With Miles Jack DeJohnette is much rawer and funkier and free in his sound. fantastic drummer. :)

I'm really not much of a fan of Jarrett (aside from his Bach), but holy fucking Christmas, who the HELL is that drummer!? I keep returning to this video just to hear the drum solo.

Noone can be the BEST at music. And their is no BEST trio. It's up to taste. One of my all time fav trio's which is very recent is Metheny, Sanchez and Mcbride. And can't forget a classic like Bill Evans trio.
