On Paul's second solo album Ram, which is a great album btw, he wrote a song called Dear Boy and 3 Legs which could be heard as a jab at John. If you look at the Ram album and the Imagine album you'll see they were having some tense communications...Both are the greatest albums, if you ask me

too many peopleToo many people going underground,Too many reaching for a piece of cake.Too many people pulled and pushed around,Too many waiting for that lucky break. There are a few references to John in that song. Also the song 3 Legs can be looked at as a jab. I don't understand why the heat all the sudden, when John and Paul had been fighting each other for years, Glass Onion, Why Don't We Do It In the Road to name a couple songs where they blast each other.

Off the first solo album "Ram" by Mccartney...there is a song in there that is a direct jab at Lennon..can't remember which one right now, but if you listen to the album, you will pick it right out

Yeah I suppose he had to bring in someone to ease tension. John's bringing in of Yoko was no help. Anyway he brought Preston in for some of the Let It Be album, right? I know it was at least for the rooftop performance. I can understand George being frustrated. He was doing other work with Clapton and Bob Dylan and was treated as a respected equal, then went back to work with the Beatles and had his ideas being ignored and overshadowed by Lennon/McCartney.

and in an interview, harrison said he brought clapton and billy preston in, because john and paul were on better behaviour with guests around. they would check their egos a bit...
