Sorry, forgot to add the proof for my reasoning. Fissure has a 30% accuracy rate, and Earthquake's accuracy is near 100%. That is why when they attacked, they missed a whole lot.

Fissure is in the game, but only as a TM. When you defeat Giovanni for the earthbadge, he gives you the TM for Fissure. Im not quite sure if any Ground pokemon learned Fissure themselves in the game, because I never used Ground types. But the animations for Fissure, and Earthquake are identical. Empolo...11 years experiance in Pokemon. (I give Marriland a run for his money...jk)

I am almost completely sure that Fissure isn't in this game yet and even if it was, this attack had the Earthquake animation

Heh. Ive dont this before and I put it into pokemon stadium :P It has no moves when put there. It's useless :)
