love my Kindle!!! it's by far the superior digital book reader, and I tried them all...my most recent Kindle read? "Justifiable Homicide" -growing up a Baptist Fundamentalist-...insightful, entertaining, full of satire, a fun read...highly recomend..

I've been looking into that and the BeBook looks comparable and in some ways better, although it isn't wireless yet, you can download books from any ebook store and you don't need to be a US citizen to purchase, like you do with the Kindle. You can get a brief preview of the BeBook on the website.

I was getting this as a gift from my school(NZ correspondence) Can you write like a journal on it and stuff?

Does the Kindle have a back light for night reading and does it have a lock button so if you get up and leave it or have to stuff it in your purse can you lock the page in.

I like this. It seem's a lot easier to carry around. But I usually don't read book's twice. And this seems to get kind of pricey with all the books to buy. Why would I do that If I can rent books for free at the library? |
