I see...it was very fast indeed, when I got home, just out of curiosity decided to find Yundi Li's version of it and even though I *love* YL, it wasn't nearly as good as Tokarev's.

I went there for La Campanella, so when I didn't see it on the programme, I got a fright. Encores are a good thing...I didn't know any of the pieces he played, so I can't judge how good or bad it was. Until La Campanella, which seemed even faster than Kissin's version (but less mistakes).

Well he was and yeah, he did. I loved the etude, but feel kinda awkward, because everyone loved the whole concert, but I...although I liked bits here and there, had many criticisms =(. oh well. He is a peculiar figure, that's fo sure.
