Bill Cosby Tribute to Lester Bowie
As part of its 30th Anniversary celebration, the Jazz Institute of Chicago, presented a once-in-a-lifetime event. Co-sponsored by the Museum of Science and Industry, this concert offered a rare opportunity to hear how the creative genius of one man, Louis Armstrong, who influenced the evolution of one of America's most original art forms. Bill Cosby recorded this tribute to Lester Bowie from the set of his award winning TV show as an introduction to this world premiere performance of a specially commissioned composition.
