Congrats! I hope you two will remain happy for the rest of your lives together.You are right. Love is a gift and some people have forgotten that. But don't let what others say get to you. They say what they say because that is what they truly believe and at this point we can only hope that they will come to see that love transcends race, religion, sexual orientation and preferance.Again congrats with the proposal.

The way I see it is this... if God is love, and He is also "no respector of persons" (both stated in the Bible)... then that means that LOVE is no respector of persons... think about it.

Because religion forbids same sex marriage, because religon is a man made thing. Men forbid women from doing things in certain countries, it's men who made up these stupid rules.Anything they're scared of they'll kill or shun.

I dont understand why everyone has to bring aspects of religion into those of love. What does love have to do with the fact that "god" doesnt like homosexuality. If everyone was to strict on thier faith many things would be illegal. The fact that straight marriages fail more than 50 percent of the time just goes to show that people dont appriciate the right that they are so easily given. Many abuse the right to marriage, but because they are straight...its okay; its so hipocritical.
