don't mind this guy. he is one of those fellows that likes to disgregard that which is commonly seen as masterful to seem fiercely independent and not affected by outside opinions and "different". miles changed the face of jazz, and was incredible. anyone that truly listens to jazz and has an at least partial education of the genre knows that. it isn't opinion - simply fact. how can one who changed the face of an entire genre be overrated?

What the fuck? Excuse my language, but you may have to explain yourself dodgyphil23. Miles Davis has been one of the forerunners of what we call jazz music for close to five decades. Doesn't sound like he would be overrated and one-dimensional to me. Sure you have a right to your opinion but, know your bounds. That is probably the most bold-faced, ignorant comment I have heard about a man who truly understood music and improvisation.
