only the people that used those drugs are motivated enough to have done something about it and give the next generation some sense of belonging to this earth rather than the other way around. But I guess the question was a rethoric one.Serenity, Tranquility, and Peace; I had never heard of that drug before. While I'm not using caffeine, alcohol or tabacco, I may aswell investigate using this one.

But... a physiologically addictive substance, by it's clinical terms, is one that alters the body's chemistry to the point that there are withdrawl symptoms when a person no longer recieves that substance. LSD DOES encounter tolerance, yes, but only in slight increments, and it has no withdrawl symptoms that I know of. And due to the startling effects of LSD (it wore me out, personally), I find it very hard to believe that it's psychologically addictive too. IDK, this is all just clinical speak.

Well, I'm not part of this "exception" that you're referring to. Sure, some people have a predisposition to fall into addictions, but addictive substances are just that. Addictive. It's not necessarily the PERSON who has the predilection towards addiction so much as the inherent nature of the substance. I'm not saying I'm for or against the use of LSD, I'm just saying it's important for people to get their facts straight before they ingest any drug.

So are you saying you're enlightened?
Mike1964 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Oh yeah, they straightened things out alright...just look at the world NOW...polution, crime, violence, selfishness, no morals...mankind has really progressed!

continued... However, you may be an acception. If you're a smoker, or a heavy drinker, or have impulse issues, it would be likely that you became "addicted" because your brain doesn't know when it's had enough, even for its good. Like I said though, I don't know your personality, so you may be an acception.

mamamamelina- perhaps you say that LSD is addictive, but I think that is completely dependent on the personality. Studies have shown that it isn't physiologically addictive (meaning there are no withdrawl symptoms, aside from calling flashbacks a withdrawl symptom). I don't think it's normally psychologically addictive. I think someone with an extremely addictive personality may become "addicted" to it, but a person with normal range of urges won't. So, in general, clinical studies say it isn't.
