That is a good question, no idea but I'm thinking that the pieces of shrapnel and debris would keep going infinitely but the blast would probably keep expanding until it eventually lost it's force

i wonder what would happen if a nuclear bomb was detonated on the moon would the blast mushroom just keep rising because of the lack of gravity and atmosphere?

Quite true. Everyone's talking about bombing eachother with this bomb, so my thing was wipe out humanity all at once. Asteroid would do that perfectly.

The subsequent mushroom cloud was about 64 km (40 miles) high (nearly seven times higher than Mount Everest) and the explosion was seen and felt even in Finland which is at least 300 - 400 km from the test side (the test side was in island of Novaya Zemlya )The blast yeald was 50 megatons and it was even planed to be 100 megatons!! Crazy Russians :D
