For some people, (not all), guitar playing is actually therapeutic. : ) I'm one of them. Much like physical therapy, it actually makes your hands feel better. It gets the blood flowing into your fingers, gets them loose and warm, and strengthens them. Paul is another guy who doesn't have many tendon problems, or arthritis, as far as I know. At least, he still plays like he doesn't have a problem. lol If you don't tense up when you play, guitar can be good for you. Like stretching.: )

He just sits around all day and plays guitar!!!??? That cannot be good on your hands.

Yeah, it sure can. Get a high gain amp and your problem is solved. I think a lower gain pickup combined with a high gain amp results in a more open, warm, larger, and overall better tone. But then again, good tone is in the eye (or ear, so to speak) of the beholder.

What a down-to-earth guy. Great sense of humour...and what a house.
