I made one of these with K'NEX instead of wood, washers, and screws. It works pretty well.

You are a genius!!!!!!!!!! I built one of these and placed it in the attic for my mother and father and they now get all the channels in the area, including several that were unattainable before. Thank you very much. :):):)

Thats a UHF antenna, won't work so well on VHF

Will this antenna pick up VHF channel 2 and up? I am 35 miles S of the Houston transmitters and it is very flat here with large trees...Thanks!

Nice video -- I'm definitely going to try this :). One small thing though: it's not mandated that all over-the-air stations broadcast in HD in Feb. 2009, just that they're all going digital. Most locals will be HD, but some will be digital yet still standard def.

You have to pay $5 a month for locals with Dish Network. It's not a big deal, but I don't want to give them the satisfaction of charging me for stuff I can get for free.
