No. The worm kinda takes over some rudimentary functions and forces the snail atop foliage in the morning in the hopes of getting eaten. Snails usually stay underneath in the shade otherwise. So yeah, those worms basically control the snail's mind.

I don't get it. So the snail is in cahoots with the worms and gladly sacrifices itself for their cause. Thats fuckin werid. Sounds like they got the short end of the stick on that one.

Actually there are! There is a parasite sometimes found in cats that if they infect a human, it can cause them to become a compulsive hoarder. Not kidding! They may even hoard more cats. This is how the parasite is able to reproduce faster. |
