Tony's Description: A Contempt Lit project based on the short story "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" by Dr. Seuss, is a short film that features a convoluted story line and a king wearing a costume made of table cloth. My editing was done in a relatively short amount of time, and a lot of the effects were just tests. There is a median overlay on the footage, this was to give the film a cartoony storybook feel.Summary: King Derwin of Didd thought that he could control the weather. Against the advice of his page girl, Bartholomewlia, he tells his magicians to come up with a new substance to fall from the sky. The magicians come up with Oobleck, a green gummy material that sticks to everything. Bartholomewlia wants to warn the kingdom about the dangers of the Oobleck. She goes to the bell ringer for help, but fails in vain as the bell ringer becomes victim of the Oobleck. Finally, Bartholomewlia goes to the king and demands him to admit that he is the cause of the problem. At first, the king refuses, but then he sees that he is wrong and apologizes. The Oobleck disappears, and everyone lives happily ever after.Credits:Directed by: Anita WongDirector of Photography: Tony LinScreen Writer: Emelie SplawnProduction Designer: Maria RomanovskyMusic Arranger: Tim YiCast (In Order of Appearance):Narrator: Anita WongKing Derwin: Tony LinBartholomewlia: Maria RomanovskyRoyal Magicians: Tim YiBell Ringer: Emelie Splawn

Some quite interesting film effects, there . . . the multiple shots, the surprisingly convincing explosions, the way everything was median-cut. I loved the jabbering rappers; you should have continued the generic vocal noise coming from their mouths. I can't think what that reminds me of. Although it sounded like you'd accidentally left a radio on during some sequences.
