Really? I think Avenged Sevenfold have a more sing along melodic style, this is more sort of scrappy raw attitude (my opinion anyway). I've seen avenged live, but i wish i had seen UKJ, sigh...

I'm a big Pearl Jam and Soundgarden fan, but come on UKJ is Hard Rock and i think nearly everybody agrees that Nirvana is the synonym for grunge even if they were more radio friendly as Mudhoney, Alice In Chains or Screeming Trees.By the way, grunge isn't a term for a music style. The term was used by a Seattle record company to promote the Seattle rock bands. Later people added STP, Silverchair etc. to this term because their sound was simlar to a band from Seattle.

Death Metal is alittle older. ^^ 1983 was Sepulutra's first album and they weren't the first Death metal band.
