when Putin's says the USSR's collapse was a tragedy, he meant that it provoked the fragmentation of an entire region, the end of world power balance, loss of control over nuclear armament and most importantly the loss of socio-economic stability for millions of people in Eurasia and Latin America. Okay mfcesmo, sanity check. There are millions of people with lives and families in NATO and its member militaries, almost a billion if you include the civilian populations that NATO is supported by and exists to protect. Most of these, even the military members and NATO staff, would like nothing more than to live in peace with the world. What the heck is up with the "Death to NATO and its puppets! To hell with NATO!" warcries? You sound more holocaustic yourself than NATO ever does.
