No it's not. Hopkins was Welsh but is now an American. Born & brought up in Wales, he became an American citizen some years ago. If anyone reading this has not seen The Fastest Indian I urge you to see it. One of the most heart-warming films you will ever watch. The character he plays is one of the nicest ever in a film.

"worlds fastest indian" is one of the most underrated films of the past decade. It is certainly one of Hopkin's best ( and most likeable) performances ever.
